Rockaway Ravens Sports, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2001. We aim to provide the youth in the Rockaway community with an environment where they can grow into more respectful, responsible, and confident children and young adults with a more profound knowledge of morality,  self-respect, and community.
 
Growing up in the Rockaway community, you face a particularly unique set of challenges daily. These challenges are the core motivation behind our principles of giving back and providing a positive outlook for the adults of tomorrow. As an organization, education is also an essential focus, as we are trying to reach the children and the parents. We know that it is much more complicated now with gangs, drugs, and life in general. The presence of friends and family watching out for us made all the difference in providing structure and a solid foundation for growth. As things worsen, many parents are turning outside the Rockaway community for better opportunities. We aim to be the structure our parents and kids need, the role model, the mentor, and most importantly, a safe space for all.

When the community pulls together as one, the unity created fosters a place where the youth can develop into beautifully intelligent, well-rounded young people filled with hope, desire, and dreams. If you work hard, you can achieve your goals. Team, “Together Everyone Achieves More.” By applying this attitude to our lives, we hope to accomplish our goals. We want the entire community to know that great things, positive things, can and do happen in Far Rockaway.
